Join us for Cocktail Week at Mischief On Canal starting March 1!

Join us at Mischief on Canal for craft cocktails and small bites starting March 1st. We are celebrating our opening just in time for Seattle Cocktail Week and will have a full menu of top-notch artisan cocktails to share. Seattle bartender whiskey maven, Duncan Chase has joined our team and we are delighted to share with you his fine tuned cocktail craftsmanship and extensive knowledge of whiskey.  Our craft cocktail menu will feature unique NW inspired creations, a full line of classics and classics with a twist. Rye whiskey will be a focus, but we also have some unique additions to the menu featuring our award winning barrel finished gin and brandy.

When the weather turns warm we will be opening our rooftop cocktail garden with stunning views of the canal. A great place to watch the parade of boats and bikes rolling by at sunset.

Hours: 3-8pm Wed-Sun.

Now Booking Private Tastings

We are now offering an elevated, more personal tasting in our new events space. These tastings are for spirit enthusiasts that want a bit more one-on-one time with our Mischief experts. In this setting, we can take time to answer all your questions, and give you the in-depth details that make Mischief our decade-old treasure.

Private Tastings are $25 per person with a four person minimum for each party. They last about 45 minutes and can be catered to whatever you want to discuss and taste. We are known for rye whiskey, but have award winning vodka, gins, and an apple brandy that we love to talk about too! With our undivided attention, we will help you unlock the mysteries of rye whiskey, and everything that goes into being Fremont Mischief Distillery.

We work by reservation only with three time slots per day, 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., Wednesday – Sunday. To book your private tasting call our tasting room: 206.632.7286, or email below.

A Captain’s sighting!

We caught up with Deadliest Catch’s Captains Josh, Casey and Sean earlier this week. They recently returned from Tampa, FL, a Country Music fest & Fundraiser for Angelus House. The Captains brought along their Storm Tossed Rye Whiskey & King Crab for the Live Auction.

We’re happy to report Tim McGraw made the winning bid $5000! – worth every sip, savor and dollar raised for Angulus House, a great cause.

Cartier’s “Precious Garage” Event!

ONE WEEKEND ONLY: Saturday Sep 29, 12 – 5pm & Sunday Sep 30, 12-3pm

Precious Garage — was created by New York- based artist Desi Santiago, who is known for installations influenced by the worlds of fashion and nightlife.

The industrial setting showcases the latest pieces from the Juste un Clou and Écrou de Cartier collections, which take influence from industrial materials such as nails and bolts.

I live in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland but my wife works in Seattle often and on her last trip there, she very kindly brought me back a bottle of the Captain Sig Hansen Storm Tossed Rye Whiskey. I don’t often write to distillers to tell them how much I enjoyed their whiskey but this is an exceptionally good whiskey…and that’s coming from Ireland. I love its warmth, its bite and the hint of the sea in it. Congratulations on producing such a superb drink.

Fremont Mischief Whiskeys and Spirits start with the farmer and the sustainably grown grains they produce.  From there, the Fremont Mischief Distillery crew took a field trip this week to visit  two additional partners: Skagit Valley Malting and Cairnsprings Mill  to learn about the different varieties of barley, the malting and milling processes and how this influences the flavor of our whiskies & spirits.

Bait Live! with the Deadliest Catch Captains

The Deadliest Catch Captains are back in Seattle to celebrate the “Catch’s” 200th episode and to film “Bait Live” at the local fisherman’s hangout, Market Arms in Ballard, WA. Host Matt Rogers quizzed the Captains all about Season 14’s challenges and triumphs.

Captains Josh Harris and Casey McManus return, man overboard! epic waves damage the F/VBrenna A, this year’s super moon wreaks havoc, a tsunami and some of the worst winter weather ever… make Season 14 one you won’t want to miss.

Fan’s are asking, “What about the Captains’ Storm Tossed Rye Whiskey?” Did the barrels survive high seas and greenhorns looking for a warm-up from winter storms ?

Every barrel survived as did the whiskey inside. We met with the Brenna A’s Captain Sean, Jenny Dwyer and Bri Brending this week to toast “Season 14” and to try a little sample. Afterwards, we all agreed…to be truly great whiskey; something we’re proud to offer to the Fans – it needs another year in the Bering Sea. Excellence and aging a fine whiskey takes its own sweet time.

Fans can follow the Captain’s ships and Storm Tossed Rye Whiskey as it continues to barrel age in rough, challenging waters while the Captains fish the Bering Sea. The F/V Northwestern and the F/V Wizard are in Seattle, while the F/V Cornelia Marie and the F/v Brenna A are moored in Alaska. The action begins again in May.
